Could Nintendo be switching up their game by doing live presentations again?

With E3 2016 just being Nintendo on the show floor talking about a few games while sitting in some comfy chairs, the lack of Nintendo Directs in comparison to other years, and with Nintendo doing a live conference to promote the Switch, is Nintendo returning to it's old ways of live presentations instead of Directs or Digital Presentations?

I dunno, just a thought.
