The portability of the Switch is making me consider many game genres that I would not give a go otherwise because of time restrictions (I.e. RPGs, MMOs, sports, etc). I would be more likely to buy a game like Ni No Kuni on the Switch for example.
I really do believe in many ways the same way the wii expanded the potential gaming audience by bringing in "casual" gamers, the Switch has the potential to increase software sales by increasing the percentage of "core" gamers willing to give a title they wouldn't otherwise due to time restrictions. So in other words portability would increase the potential "core" gaming audience by genre. Possible, obvious or crazy logic?
