I replaced the internal drive on my PS4 with a 2TB but I'm running out of space (1.8 used). To make more space I'll have to delete a few games…which includes the updates && patches.
If I wanted to replay (for example) Wolfenstein in a few months time I'd have to wait for the large patch to download.
Has there been any details on just where patches will be stored on the Switch – namely on the carts themselves or on the system storage?
It would be amazing if it was able to write the patches to the carts themselves in a special writable area. Once a game is patched it'll be always patched regardless of the system. But I wouldn't be surprised if it keeps it simple and just write the patches to the internal storage.
