So in short, I think it'd be really great to thank our mods for the hard work and time they've donated to keeping this an awesome place to be. And I think the most obvious and awesome gift would be a switch!
So here's the breakdown: There are currently 15 mods of r/Nintendo switch. Feel free to argue but for estimating purposes, let's say the switch is $300. Games are $60. Controller is $50. So a basic bundle is in the $410 range. 15 of said bundles is $6,150. This community currently has 56,024 subs, so that would cost each of a little more than a dime. Or, more realistically, 10% of us could chip in a dollar.
Going backwards, i spend about 10 minutes a day on this sub, and previously r/Nintendonx. That's at least 60 hours per year. I have zero problem throwing in $1 as a thank you to the mods for keeping this place a great place to be for all that time. I hope you feel the same.
That said, I don't want the responsibility of selecting, setting up and/or distributing the funds. I don't want any shenanigans or fraud. So maybe the best way would be for the mods themselves to set up a donation system that could work best for them. So u/FlapSnapple Please let me know where and how and I'll be the first to throw down a dollar. Your team rocks.
*Sorry for any missed typos- im on a new phone and I'm still getting used to it.
