So it's assumed that on January 13, the day that in-store demos for the Nintendo Switch start, pre-orders will also open. I have preordered much of my video games from Amazon lately since I have Prime, but Prime's 20% off discount doesn't apply to hardware, and after the NES Classic fiasco where preorders placed DAY ONE weren't honored, I'm wary about online stuff. And if I recall correctly Nintendo's only shipping out TWO MILLION Switches for launch. That's pretty low if you ask me.
The way I see it, I could do two things for the Switch. I could pre-order it on Amazon and take the risk, or I could pre-order from a brick and mortar store, possibly camp out overnight for it. In this subreddit's experience, which would you recommend to this redditor who absolutely NEEDS a Switch day one?
