Pricing strategy speculation

Based on the rumour that the dock will be released separately, and that it will include additional processing power, I think Nintendo have secured a relatively cheap launch price of $300-350

The base model, excluding the dock, is effectively a more compact and powerful wii u. You're paying for a touch screen, controller, and internals that provide 720p 30fps.

Then add an additional $100-150 for the supplementary dock, allowing the switch to achieve the level of quality seen on current gen systems. (1080p 60fps with potentially 4k streaming)

This is a brilliant method. It keeps having accessible to the masses, meaning anyone can play the latest releases, yet still leaves something for those of us who want a little extra polish .

What do you think? Based on what they've said we may not find out till next year.
