Regarding the VGLeaks rumour on FF7 Remake and the FF 30th Anniversary

So VGLeaks claim they have a source with the following info:

For PS4:

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake (1st episode) releasing in 2017
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age releasing in 2017
  • Final Fantasy XIII trilogy releasing in 2017
  • Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection (comprising FF1-9, FF1-6 will have their original versions as well as their latest ports, while FF7-9 have their latest ports only)

For PS Vita:

  • Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection (as above)

For Steam:

  • Final Fantasy I releasing before end of 2017
  • Final Fantasy II releasing before end of 2017
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age releasing before end of 2017
  • Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions releasing before end of 2017
  • Chrono Trigger releasing before end of 2017
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake releasing mid 2018 or later
  • Final Fantasy XV releasing mid 2018 or later

If this rumour holds some grain of truth (it does seem fairly plausible), this may not bode well for the Switch and a reunion with Final Fantasy proper and Nintendo, especially when this would be the first time the NES versions of FF2 & FF3 are officially translated. Keep in mind, the last time a Nintendo console received a main series FF game that was not a port was back in the SNES days – all of them since the GBA/GC era (N64/GBC era received literally nothing) have been spinoffs or ports.
