I know there's a lot of contention surrounding 1-2-Switch because it "isn't worth" $50 or because "it should have been a pack-in", but here's the thing.
Keep in mind that 1-2-Switch includes at least 25 games… Now think of Wii Sports. Think of all the time we've sunk into just two, or three games in that. I even know of a few casual gamers who carried on playing it for a good 3-4 years after it's release.
Sure, Wii Sports was a pack-in, but that's not the point. My point is that a games worth shouldn't be defined by how simple it is, but how fun and replayable it can be. It's statistically unlikely that you, or your friends won't enjoy at least a handful of 1-2-Switch games, and when you consider that it's going to be played almost exclusively in a group environment, the pricing becomes a little more justifiable.
I'm not saying it isn't overpriced. I'm just saying it isn't nearly as steep as people make it out to be, and I do think a price-reduction is inevitable anyway.
With that said, I 100% support their decision to not make it a pack-in. Nintendo have given players the opportunity pick between 1-2-Switch or Breath of the Wild based on if they're "casual" or "core" gamers, and that's pretty great.
